Ishikawa Internships

Internship

Students who complete the language program successfully may be eligible to return to Ishikawa the following summer to work in a paid internship position. Ishikawa Prefecture annually offers three internships to former PII students. Those selected for this program serve as interns at major companies in the Ishikawa region.

In addition, a certificate of completion is presented to each participant by Masanori Tanimoto, governor of Ishikawa, at the end of the program. Interns live with host families, and the Ishikawa Prefectural Government provides a monthly allowance, round-trip airfare to Kanazawa, local transportation, and living expenses. Students are not, however, eligible to apply for Ishikawa internships unless they attended the PII program in the previous year.

Former participants of the Ishikawa internships have written reports of their experiences.
